The Rant: Will the Board Accept the New Offer to Sit Down?

As most of you have heard by now, the Cary Educational Association has submitted another offer to the Board of Education.  As was abundantly clear on Monday, the teachers are still willing to sit down at the table.  The problem:  Is the Board of Education willing?  I am not too sure.  That is why we need to keep up the pressure.

Here is another edition of The Rant.  In this episode:  viewer mail, pseudonyms and the Community Engagement Committee meeting.

Let the board know that you want them to sit back down and work it out with the teachers. Before it is too late.

  1. That last part was AMAZING! I think we all need to remeber what it took to get this country the rights and freedoms that we take for granted! We don't have to always like each other or agree on everything but for the sake of our kids and the future of our country we MUST work together and do what's right in the end.

  2. Great Video Bruce! Keep em coming . . . This board has managed to alienate a great community. We moved here years ago before we ever heard of Chris Jenner and his master plan to destroy public education as we know it in Cary. How he has used his political beliefs and made decisions that have decimated this district is sickening to say the least.

  3. Excellent! Put this up on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/) ASAP and let everyone know. YouTube has far more sophisticated distribution methods and will allow us Cary parents to make this "go-viral". Also, once the video is uploaded on YouTube make sure to send a link to the Superintendent, the Mayor of Cary, the School Board, the Governor, all News Media, etc. On another note, the Mayor of Cary should be notified that this District 26 fiasco is destroying the 'draw' of Cary to new residents. I moved here years ago because of the schools. Now NOBODY wants to move here and if there wasn't a recession we'd see a huge exodus of residents...because of the schools.

  4. Anonymous, Thanks for the comment. Just a little note: all of the videos are on youtube. The videos you see above are simply embedded from youtube. All you have to do is click on the "Youtube" button in the lower right and it will take you to the actual youtube page. There, you can then send the link directly to friends and family. Hope that helps. Tell your friends, family and neighbors!
